Summer in the City

I met Nicola down at Southbank yesterday to enjoy the mini heatwave that has struck London and do a bit of prep for Tanya's hen do. It was lovely. One of the above shots is me lazing on the grass in my favourite Kate Spade skirt. I bought it in New York with my sisters before I moved to London four years ago. How cool is the fountain? I would have gone mental for that when I was a kid! x

Who wears short shorts?

I love short shorts but I don't wear short shorts. I can't say I've been blessed with supermodel legs and have spent most of my 25, soon to be 26, years finding new and imaginative ways of covering them up. But I do, as I said, love short shorts and this post on Garance today has made me more determined than ever to slim down and tone up for summer in order to buy myself a bloody pair of shorts, damn it! And wear them with pride. We'll see. I'll never look like this chicky babe but maybe just maybe I'll be a short shorts wearer at last! Ps. Went to a kick-boxing class the other day and I think that'll help as I've not been able to move all week! x

Not too shabby..

I am creeping into my sister Rosie's realm here (check out her awesome blog designerindisguise) but I saw this incredible house in this month's Wallpaper and couldn't help but publicly drool... isn't it jaw-dropping? This is in Brazil. Maybe my new boyfriend will buy me a house just like it on one of Sydney's beautiful beaches? x

Get me my woolies

It's turned really cold in London the past week, which is making me want to cosy up in one of these two gorgeous pullovers and read a book next to a roaring fire. Come on London... it's the middle of May!! Lucky I have a week in Italy already booked up! Woooo!! x

Dion Lee

How fab are these get-ups by Aussie designer Dion Lee? Very fab is the right answer! To be honest, I'd never heard of the guy despite being an antipodean and an avid-ish fashion follower until I saw these sexy pics whilst perusing Jak & Jil just now (yes I am looking at fashion blogs on a Saturday night! Loser! I'm hungover ok!). But now I've done my research and unearthed that Lee is younger than me (sigh) and kind of hot. Aside from that, the Sydney-based designer graduated from the Fashion Design Studio at the Sydney Institute of Technology in 2007 and is racking up accolades left right and centre. Seems he is the darling of the Aussie fashion world right now. Anyway, these photos are from Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, which has just finished. Would have been cool to be there instead of being sworn at in Marrakech!

More Morocco

Riad refuge

This shot is from the roof terrace at our riad in Marrakech (can you see the mosque in the background?). It was stunning up there and definitely a refuge from the bustling streets below! I must say, while loads of people I know adored Morocco, I have mixed feelings. The weather was brilliant and I had a really, really fun time with my girls but the near constant hassle from the local men (and the odd shove from the local ladies) wore us down. I got a few decent photos though - when I wasn't having abuse hurled at me! (Headscarfs didn't make a scrap of difference!?) I think it'd be a completely different experience if you went with a fella. But I got some sun, a hilarious story or ten and our riad was looooooooooooverly!! x
