Who wears short shorts?

I love short shorts but I don't wear short shorts. I can't say I've been blessed with supermodel legs and have spent most of my 25, soon to be 26, years finding new and imaginative ways of covering them up. But I do, as I said, love short shorts and this post on Garance today has made me more determined than ever to slim down and tone up for summer in order to buy myself a bloody pair of shorts, damn it! And wear them with pride. We'll see. I'll never look like this chicky babe but maybe just maybe I'll be a short shorts wearer at last! Ps. Went to a kick-boxing class the other day and I think that'll help as I've not been able to move all week! x

... just kidding, I'm still in London. And these aren't my photos, I'm ripping off Garance Dore's again. Sorry. It's just I absolutely adore the ones she took on her recent escapade to the Brazilian capital. Both these shots are from Ipanema beach. I am also tossing up whether to go to South America later in the year. I know I mentioned Central America the other day but now the traveling thing is all up in the air. If anyone ever needed an incentive though, I'm sure you'll agree these photos would get you on a plane before you could say Copacabana!! I particularly love the sunset shot below. For some reason I can't ever manage sunsets on my camera. They just don't come out. Any tips Nikon lovers? x

Summer sun

This is one of my favourite Garance Dore photos. I think what she's wearing would be my ideal outfit to while away the hours in the summer sun. It's so simple but I love the scarf and the casual way she's rolled up her sleeves - if only I had her bod! Speaking of summer sun, I'm heading to Sydney tomorrow where my three beautiful sisters, two of whom I haven't seen for two whole years, will be waiting for me. The rest of the family are flying over from Perth on Christmas eve. I really can't believe my trip is finally here. It feels as though I've been counting down forever. I will try to take as many photos as I can while I'm in Australia so this blog is not just a wishlist of all the clothes I want - I know that can be fairly boring. I should get a chance to post tomorrow as I don't leave until the evening but then I'll be on the wing for 24 hours in a capsule of boredom - boo!! x

Alexa's locks

So, as I've said already, my number one girl crush is Garance (who took this lovely photo) but coming a close second is Alexa Chung. Apart from her awesome what seems like effortless style I adore her hair and am thinking of getting mine cut in a similar way - I have an appointment in a few weeks in Sydney which I am unbelievably excited about as my hair is so mousy and unkempt! What do you think? The only problem is that my locks are dead straight - I reckon Ms Chung has a bit of a natural wave - and I am so not a high maintenance fille when it comes to haircare. Oh f*$^ it - I'll give it a go! Will show you the results - if it doesn't look horrendous! P.S. am feeling slightly better today although still on the couch. Sniff, sniff. x
